  • Now, the Photos app on your computer should pop open. If not, open it manually.

  • Next, you must see an import screen in Photos that shows the photos you have on your iPhone. If you aren't automatically placed on this screen, tap on the icon for your iPhone in the menu on the left of the Photos window. Or, to open the import window, go to File - Import.

  • Here, select where you like to save your imported photos. You'll find a drop-down menu at the top of the import window in the center that allows you to add the new photos to one of your albums or form the latest album for your import. 

  • On the upper left of the import window, there are two buttons. "Import All New Items" will transfer all photos you have taken since your last import. To upload only specific photos, click on each photo you want to copy onto your computer and click the "Import Selected" button.

  • Your import is done! Before you disconnect your iPhone go to iTunes and click the eject icon.

You'll also have at least version 12.5.1 of iTunes on your computer before uploading photos onto a PC. Follow the guidance above to connect your iPhone, unlock it, and tell it to trust your computer.

  • Firstly, click the Start button.

  • Then, select photos from the menu that comes up. Now, it will open the Photos app on your PC.

  • Choose Import - From a USB device in photos. Follow the guidance to finish the transfer process of your photos.
